Florentijn Hofman

Florentijn Hofman est né en 1977 aux Pays-Bas. Diplômé de la Kunsthochschule de Berlin, Florentijn est connu pour avoir réalisé et mis en place de nombreuses installations "in situ", pour la plupart de tailles gigantesques, principalement aux Pays Bas. Son travail est souvent basée sur la monochromie monumental, dans une démarche d'apaiser "le bruit ambiant" et mettre en valeur l'espace. C'est installations sont vraiment impressionante; j'adore son travail et sa manière de créer, de réfléchir et de penser. Florentijn Hofman was born in 1977 in Netherlands. Graduated from the Kunsthochschule of Berlin, Florentijn is known to have realized and set up numerous installations " in situ ", for the most part of gigantic sizes, mainly in the Netherlands. His work is often based on monumental monochromie, in a initiative to calm " the ambient noise " and emphasize the space. These installations are really impressionante; I like his work, i like the way he creates, and the way he thinks. VIRGO

Virgo est le nom d'artiste de Virgine ARACIL. Née dans le sud de la France, elle fait ses études à Aix-en-provence, Nice puis Paris à l'École Superieur de la Mode. Styliste graphiste consultante spécialisée dans le secteur du bébé et de l'enfant; elle utilise de la toile bio pour ses collections, du coton de vieux t-shirt et de vieilles couvertures pour ses doudous. Son site est truffé de petites surprises, de clins d'oeil, de choses faites main, coussins, doudous, céramique... bref impossible de ne pas bloquer au moins 10 minutes dessus. Je me suis essayé à la création d'une newsletter... Pas une grande fan de ce genre de procédés publicitaires... surtout quand ça me pollue mes boîtes mail! Mais il faut bien avancer avec son temps.. ;) et vous faire savoir que la Nouvelle Collection de coussins et bijoux est arrivée!

Kari Herer, photographe, est basée à Portland. Je l'ai découverte sur Décor8, et cette série de fleurs disposées sur des crayonnés m'a complètement subjugué. Je trouve ces photos vraiment délicates, et magnifiques. Et il y en a bien d'autres superbes sur sa boutique Etsy. Bon, ok, je parle très très souvent d'Etsy... mais c'est vraiment une vraie mine d'or d'artiste!

Kari Herer, photographer, is based in Portland. I discovered her work on Décor8, and this serie of flowers arranged on drawns, really fascinates me. I think that these photos are really delicate, and... wonderful. And there is a lot of other photos on her Etsy shop. Well, OK, I speak very often about Etsy but it is really a gold mine of artists!
